OMG. YES. AWESOME. If I were 12, I would become obsessed with this movie. As it is, I am 24 and I must have the soundtrack asap.

I think it says something when a movie makes me wish I was back in high school again.

High School Musical FTW! Did you know Disney put out a special edition soundtrack that has Karaoke versions of all the songs! That was the best discovery ever. My love for this novie knows no bounds.

And HSM 2 is supposed to be out next year!

Despite the fact Disney is on many many hours of the day in this house, I have yet to manage to see this film all the way through. ::headdesk:: Granted, I like what I've seen (and I've seen tons of the behind the scenes stuff and dance rehearsals and the "dance along" and "singalong" clips, etc.), but I really would like to see it all the way through one of these days. At the moment, I've taped "Read It and Weep" and am trying to watch that:D Really, I'm 33. I swear.:)

I mean, I'm not even all that invested in them as an OTP, however! It's like we never get the dramatic resolution to the ENTIRE FREAKIN' MOVIE because they cut away. And it's pretty damned clear they cut from a kiss.

It's -hmm. It's not great. HOWEVER, the soundtrack is quite sing-along-able, if that makes sense. I like the songs more than the movie, but do rent the movie.

Hee. The Canadian Disney Channel hasn't shown HSM yet, from what I have seen, so I had to rent it and convince the roomie that we would love it, which we did.

I think the soundtrack is better than the actual movie. So much fun to sing along to, though I suppose it would be different had I not seen the film.
