What a lazy weekend.
I, er, got a little teary when the Galactica dropped into the atmosphere. And when the Pegasus rammed the basestar. And when that woman took Kacey from Kara. And when Tigh pushed his way through the chanting crowd.
So I was a bit of a mess.
Anyways, good stuff. Dear Anders, maybe let Kara breathe a little next time before the kissing, but his desperation at finding her unconscious was - sweet's not the right word, but you get the sense that he really, really loves her and thought she was dead. Poor guy. Also, Anders. 4 months ago you had pneumonia and now we know why. Put on a jacket, dude. Though I did appreciate the sight on a completely shallow level. I am hopeful he sticks around even if he and Kara don't work.
Also, if there were to be an Anders/Lee arm-off, I would be okay with that.
I liked it. I was trying to explain it to my roommate last night that it's not a period piece like I might have been expecting. This is a thoroughly modern movie. I need to think more.
The costuming was stunning. And! I felt strongly that Marie's lover looked like a younger, less weird looking version of Ioan Gruffudd.
Meh. I could take or leave it, although Lauren Graham FTW, especially when she came back and took Matt's number. I sort of half fear the weird blend of RPF this show could generate, and at the same time I look forward to it.
Also? Ness? You're insane and I love you. Make a demand and it's yours.
