Guys, I think I'm going to sound like a tool, but I'm going to say this anyways: There are spoilers out there. Please cut and remember your cuts can be spoilery too!

I've been reading my flist through my fingers. I know this is my problem and not yours, but I'd love your help. This is the first time I'm trying to go into something spoiler free, and it is hard! How do the habitually unspoiled do it?

In other, unspoilery news, my sister and I figure the show is going to end with Hera standing on top of a pile of bodies using someone's femur as a rattle.

Even though most people are very good about LJ-cuts and things, I'm thinking of not even reading my flist this week or only reading a non-BSG filter (which would leave me with very little to read on my flist anyway!)

Because even non-spoilery posts have gotten me into trouble in the past, because I stumble across a spoilery comment or I follow a link to someone else's journal and find something there that I didn't want to know. So, avoiding the whole thing just seems like a decent strategy.

I'm not even sure I should watch the BSG special tomorrow, or at the very least, I'm not sure I should read people's reaction posts to it.

I'm thinking of rereading a shit ton of fic this week. Always an entertaining distraction.

LOL, this comment was longer than I anticipated.

I empathize with you. I'm unspoiled (well, accept for one thing I learned of last summer) and hope to stay that way, but I sent an email to a friend earlier and included, 'By the way, given what I have seen, I'm guessing this, this, or this happens'.

I feel for you. I tried to stay spoiler-free, but I've given up now. And some things have been almost impossible to avoid. You do not sound like a tool, it's a perfectly reasonable request.

Heh - I gave up on this particular spoiler because I basically knew it just from reading the above-the-cut stuff. I think people forget how well we get to know the people on our flists, and how easy it is for us to put stuff together.

If it helps, knowing the spoiler, I still don't feel very spoiled. Good luck!

I'm with you. So far my flist has been good with the cuts, but I'm kind of terrified. If I get spoiled this close to the end, I will not be responsible for my actions.
