extremely shallow thoughts on 'The Avengers.' EXTREMELY.

1. I saw this with one of the friends with whom I saw X-Men: First Class (aka 'Gay Mutants in Loooooooooooooooove') and who was deeply puzzled when I could not contain myself halfway through that movie and had to whisper "Oh My God, Charles and Erik are totally dating, right?" At one point during The Avengers she leaned over and whispered re: Tony Stark and Bruce Banner "OMG science boyfriends!" Huh.

2. I am deeply disturbed that my first foray into the Ao3 Avengers section seemed to reveal that Clint/Agent Coulson is more popular than Clint/Natasha. What the hell, fandom? WHAT THE HELL?
a) Hello, canon het ship. Hey. How you doing?

3. Were Pepper and Tony that, er, sexy, in the other Iron M(e)n? Because, uhm. Yowza. Ahem. Also, why no shoes, Gwenyth? (There is a non-rpf fic in that! Someone write me Tony's shoe fetish stat!)
a) I demand Potts Tower in the next Iron Man movie. I demand it! With her name on the lease. Pepper, I just! You!

4. All the men in this movie really wore their clothing. As did the ladies.
4a. I guess if you work for S.H.I.E.L.D you never get to have a big lunch. (Those catsuits were exteremly well-fitted, is all I am saying!)

Pepper is just all kinds of awesome. She can handle Tony like no one can. Even Steve. There, I said it. :-)

I noticed that too. Didn't see an overweightish person in the lot.
