Oh, I sooooooooo disagree. I could write fluff constantly. Seriously. I think angst is a more 'respectable' genre, on the whole, but fluff? If we toss out any sort of coherent plot requirement, or that there be a *point,* I have about thirteen cutesy moments for S/J in my head and on my word processor at the drop of a hat. Any hat.
besyd is largely to blame for this, though. I used to be much more of an angst hussy before she had her squeeeful way with me and made me start thinking of *exactly* how insufferably adorable Sam and Jack will be once they get themselves together to be so. And I guess a lot of those 'moments' have components of angst... nightmares and half-baked relationship fears and whatnot... but their adorability wins out pretty quickly. I'm much quicker to torment my characters and gleeefully twist the knife when I have more energy! Hee! Oh, and the X-Files did it to me, too, because with that I learned that there *can* be such a thing as too much angst.
And hey, at least we're both pathetic wenches ;) With our powers combined...
