Charles Shaughnessy? Serious? Mr. Sheffield from 'The Nanny'? I can decide if I'm excited, amused or disappointed.

Wow. Weirdest casting ever. Ever.

I'm waiting to see how this plays out so to speak. Will be interesting to see what he does with the role. The character is supposed to be an old friend of Sam's. I'm wondering how they met...was it through Jacob or what? Hmmm.

Yeah. In a way I think the casting's a little weird because I guess I assumed the guy would be around Sam's age, but this guy's quite a bit older than Sam. He's closer in age to Jack. (I will not make the comment in my head right now about Sam's prediliction for older men and how this character could be seen as some sort of forerunner for Sam's attraction to older men *ahem*Jack*ahem*. I will not)

But yeah. I'm interested to see how this plays out. :)

And neither will I. :-)

I'm glad we both agree. On not making the comment.

Well, I will!!! She's *attracted* to older men, but only seems to do the horizontal mamba with slightly shorter, younger, well-endowed (in the chin area, of course) men. Intersting.

Thanks for the info- I loved him in DooL!!! It's the accent- gets me all the time :-)

Oh, that's right, he was on Days of Our Lives. I can't recall the character's name, though. Except that he had a very dippy wife and Eve, the bitch goddess from Hell as a daughter. And his evil twin was much more interesting.

I remember him from way back in the day on DooL. I was very little and I watched it with my mom. Very little. Like, 5 maybe. Hee. I wish I could remember his name. Didn't his character have something to do with Kayla (was it Kayla? Lord, that was a long time ago.)

Kimberly, Kayla's sister, was his wife. Too many years of soaps have predisposed me to ship ;-)

Kimberly!

*shudders in remembered horror* Oh, that woman was SUCH a bad actress. The treacly expressions, the storylines (the radio call-in show, the split personality disorder, ad nauseum), the HAIR...

Ok, I'm in a very scary place remembering all this. ;) Yes, Days was a beloved escape for a while, but after a few years I just couldn't make myself watch it anymore. And Kimberly was even worse than Adrienne and Kayla, and that's really saying something.

*plans to watch Another World reruns to make the scary mental images go away*

The thing that finally did me in with that show was when Roman was really someone else and then I remember Deirdre Hall's eyes glowing... It was more sci-fi than soap!!! Of course, SG-1 is starting to turn more soap than sci-fi, so...
