stargateficrec. Yay?
Watched some eps from season two last night in an attempt to start the muse up on my Sam/Jack Jack/Daniel ficathon entry which is sending me into panic mode.
'Message in a Bottle' totally proved Teal'c's love for Jack to me.
- Jack's all "We're friends and I appriciate you staying with me during this difficult time since you're the only one whose symbiote will protect you" and Teal'c like, "Uhm, love you buddy. In a non-platonic, you'll help free my people kind of way. Let me burn away this bacteria type stuff for you." Awww.
- Seriously, the "Undomesticated Equines" line? Hello Teal'c!Love. Seriously.
- This ep is also a fine example of Sam throwing some batshit idea out there and it working, despite all previous evidence to the contrary. Yay!
- Also? Daniel needs new glasses. Badly. Still. Six seasons later.
Watched 'Family', the one about R'yac and Drey'auc and Apophis not being dead
- this cemented my love for Christopher Judge, if not Teal'c.
- "Be quiet, woman." Huh. Really makes me wonder what was going on inside that shiny head of his when he realised Sam was a chick.
- R'yac (well, the actor playing R'yac) is beautiful. Had the most lovely skin and big, beautiful eyes.
- Drey'ac needed some VO5 hot oil for her hair and a brush.
Also watched Touchstone
- I'm kinda glad I skipped the early years of this show because I totally would have bailed over the sheer number of half-nekkid princesses/daughters/lap dancers who show up early on. Seriously, the princess-type chick's skirt was inexcusably short. Jack was totally, totally checking out her ass at the end when she opened the window. Also? Her skirt was A LOT shorter in the back than the front. Whaaa? That's just not practical.
- This ep reaffirmed my love for Papa Hammond. Love him.
- Also, you can see the res building where I lived last year when Hammond's walking in the 'park' talking to the cloak and dagger type guy about the secret NID air strip, and that? That was cool. /fangirl moment.
Mmm. So. Y'know, it's fun to stick on the slash goggles and watch SG sometimes. Bizarre, because suddenly you've got a whole new perspective (ie. In 'Message in a Bottle' the organism's all "O'Neill too wishes to live" and pod!Jack looks in Daniel's general direction and Daniel kinda looks at the floor in what could be seen as a sort of peculiar embarassment and with the slash goggles on it's like "Hello!")
But none of this is helping the challenge fic.

I've been watching first-season eps to indoctrinate my sister, and we just saw the very first one with Rya'c and Drey'ac... and dude? I'm SO glad they changed actresses for Drey'ac. Because the first one was not only dressed like a total hoochie, she had NO chemistry with Teal'c even in a we-once-knew-each-other-biblically sort of way. *shudder*
And Rya'c? LOVE HIM.
