Rented the BSG mini.
Man. I really need to stop reading fic before I actually, y'know, see the show. And I'm in the strange position of already having seen 33, Colonial Day and the two KLGs, so that was . . . odd.
Am I the only one who thinks at some point Kara and Tigh slept together? It's all in the way she asks about his wife and is taunting him with something, and it doesn't feel like it's just his current maritial troubles, and when he calls her "Kara" in that final scene they have together, his voice is weirdly low and intimate, I think. There's more to my theory than that - there's something about how Adama acts about Kara around Tigh and the way Tigh's a little too embarassed, like Kara's the worst mistake he ever made. Hmm.
*quietly signs on as a Jamie Bamber fangirl* OMGSOADORABLE!!!11!!
I'm such a cheap romatic. I really liked the way the show moved between Boomer and Tyrol's reunion-swingy-kiss to Billy and Dualla's middle-of-the-hallway-it's-the-end-of-the-world-and-you're-cute-so-I-will-kiss-you-thanks and then Kara and Lee doing the let's-stare-and-be-adorable thing but not kissing, even though they kind of looked like they totally wanted to because well, dude. It's the end of everything, eh? The previous sceens were such a set up for that non-kissage moment. And I totally fell for it. Shut up. But hooray for complicated, previously established relationships! Hooray!
There's so much to like about this show: fucked up families, realtionships, deep, honest, complicated relationships alllll over, a prending apocalypse, cute boys, smart, tough women. Dude. I could fall so hard for this show. Just what I needed, more proof that if you give me good characters, I am your bitch.
And I can't believe Six killed the baby. I am scarred.
In SG1 news, the whole Telkena thing? You've all said what I've wanted to far more eloquently that I ever could. I must say I'm amused at her response to
woodface's comment in which she basically ignores every (very good) point Jara makes in order to fangirl Jara. I'm starting to doubt this woman can read, let alone write or be a shrink.
