When you arrive home after a long day and the roommate who was supposed to be going out and leaving the house to you all night says "I changed my mind, I've invited 7 people over for dinner, they'll be here in half an hour, do you mind?"and you domind, what do you say?

You say that you do mind and that you would prefer it if her friends did not come over as you've had a tiring day, but as that is probably impossible at the moment, that the next time she does invite a group of people over, would she mind clearing it with you like a day in advance, because common courtesy people omg.

I'm sure I would say "fine" but not really mean it, and then I'd be grouchy! But probably end up having a good time in the end. Either that or just stay in my room and play online!

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING. Except I must socialize as well, because they are people who, if not friends, are people I know.

Ack! Conflict!

This is what I should do, but alas, I am a pushover.

Then you will just have a suck it up :)

Still, you might enjoy having the people over. They can cheer you up and be noisy and merry and fun.

You say, "Well, you can't uninvite them at this point. Next time, check with me first, okay?"

And leave all the cleanup to her.

Bring it up to her again, telling her that what she did was extremely uncool. If you don't address this, she'll do it again which will lead to more resentment...
