One of the kittens is currently sitting on my shoulder, as if I were a pirate and he my parrot.
Whoops, now he is curled in my lap purring.
Also, Vancouver, what the fuck? First I can't drink the water, and now you are snowing outside. Still. This is not cool.
I realised around Thursday of last week that I am flying to Calgary and then Regina at the end of this week and thus will miss "Unfinished Business."
I then proceeded to freak out. And then I conned my boss into getting me a loaner laptop for the trip. The only problem will be figuring out how to get bittorrent on it.
That new comcast preview:
So, Lee's all, "we're at your cabin" except they are clearly outside instead of warm and in bed in a cabin. So, "let me show you my cabin" is the New Caprica version of "let me show you my etchings"?
Sorry, I had to go rewatch it.
Anyways, Katee. Jamie. ADORABLE. And so lovely in the moonlight.
I can't even begin to imagine what happens to get them both in the place they seem to be in in this clip - literally screaming at the top of their lungs that they love each other. I mean - I just can't figure out how that happened. Last we saw,timeline-wise, Kara was making out with Anders and Lee was watching. And suddenly they're happy and naked and yelling at the top of their lungs? Ron et al, if you're not going to surprise me with why the rift happen, at least surprise me with how they got to this point. It does make Lee's utter and total hated of her easier to understand though.
Katee's so pretty with her long hair and lovely collarbones. The voyeur in me hopes these scenes end up being slightly better lit when they're on tv, but at the same time it's so appropriate that some of their expressions are hidden from us.
I love that when Kara says "get down here" Lee totally misses it as a cue for more sexing. DUDE. GET OFF YOUR GLEE AND GO DO THE GIRL. Also, she appears to be laying post coital-y on their uniforms. THAT IS MADE OF AWESOME.
Also, Kara seems to still be wearing her thumb ring in this, which she hasn't been wearing all season. Sometimes the continuity on this show is fabulous, and other times they miss years and years. Oy.
"Okay, here we go again." Whoops, I just melted. Huh.
Man. The way Lee looks at Kara when she takes her turn. My heart! It hurts! And the expression on her face after she realises what she's said. We've never seen either of them so happy, I don't think.
Er, does Lee spin Kara around at the end there, just before he starts kissing her? Because that's hot. And so is the way he's just there, in her personal space.
Dear Ron Moore,
Look at how awesome these two could be if they were really together in your show.
Love elly.
I am in awe of the way you can see the exact moment that Kara starts freaking out. My heart just breaks, and you can almost see hers do the same. Fuck.
I had a lot to say about a minute and a half of clip. Huh.
I need to go to bed.
It's still snowing, btw.

Warning: More absurdly long spec.
In my head....
[Pilot lovemaking that's slow and tender and full of meaningful looks and lingering kisses. In a field. Atop their uniform coats. They snuggle a bit, with Kara blissfully post-coital, and Lee overwhelmed that he finally has her.]
LEE: Gods, I love you.
KARA: [slightly angsty pause] I love you too.
LEE: [grinning and gleeful] No takebacks?
KARA: Nope, no takebacks.
[And then he jumps up and shouts and is SO DAMN HAPPY. He keeps saying it over and over, just standing there naked in a field because he loves her and he finally HAS her and everything is going to be right in his life again.]
God, stop me before this gets any mushier, but you know it had to happen this way in order to make it hurt so much later. EEK. Poor, poor Pilots. And even if it doesn't happen this way -- I know this is totally wish-fulfillment -- RDM does love his callbacks. Based on the promos, I've pretty much convinced myself of the Colonial Day thing, but if he throws in a "No takebacks" (which would work in that scene), then I will be a very happy camper indeed.
P.S. The thumb ring? In "Collaborators", it was hanging on a chain in her locker, along with her dogtag. She had it around her neck again last week. But she was wearing it in LDYB2 up until the last scenes with Anders, so I guess she took it off when she got married.

Even MORE absurdly long spec.
And if they did do it on their uniforms, I would die. I don't know why I love the idea but I do. (OMG could you imagine, they're standing in the field (innafield!) kissing and touching and Kara unbuttons Lee's coat and slides it down his (magnificent) shoulders and is about to let if fall from her fingertips when he stops her, pulls away from her lips and catches her wrist and grabs the coat from her lax grasp. Kara would be all sweet and confused and dazed and pouty and just a little bit worried Lee wanted to put a stop to it all. But he'd smile that smile from in front of the cave on Kobol, and when he stole her ball on the Astral Queen, and he'd make a show of snaping the jacket out and laying it gently on the ground. And Kara would try to pretend to be all gruff and untouched but Lee would see through it and smile again, a little gentler, and then he'd kiss her again, softly, changing the tone of what had been a frantic and drunken encounter, slowing things down. And Kara's knees would feel weak and Lee would know, because his were feeling the same, and they'd help each other down to the ground, on top of his jacket. and then . . . .)
The colonial day thing would just be awesome, wouldn't it? I mean, it's too much to hope that Lee makes some reference to her knee or not letting her go this time, or having Kara outright reject Baltar, but still.
Alanna, how am I going to last 4 days?

Yes. Yes he does. And I melt just a little bit.
Oh, Elly. I am somewhat afraid that I'm going to die from all the waiting and anticipation and squee before I actually get to see the episode, and that just wouldn't do, now would it?

Is it Friday yet? *cries*

Poor Lee. Poor Kara. I could knock their heads together for fraking this up.
And I don't care what fandom is saying. My ship has gotten a whole 30 seconds of screentime this entire season. If this episode is all about them, which I doubt, well then more for me.

(What did you see? I saw Delierium about a month ago and it was incredible. Not pilots, but awesome.)
