Let's be clear, I watched most of Cold Case with the volume off and changed that channel pretty much any time Jamie spoke. Seeing actors from my shows on other things makes me weird and gigglish, so I can't say I paid close attention. That said -



There's a reason I don't watch these type of shows, and it is because I don't enjoy them. That said, Jamie! In a pink shirt!

I was on the phone for the first 1/2 hour, so I'm not sure what the plot was, but I gleaned Jamie's character's wife blew him up and was supposed to leavet him for a much less attractive man. That's just crazy talk. Also they did something as protesters back in the 70s and Jamie's character was going to go to the police about it. I don't care! Let's get to the shallow.

Jamie! In a pink shirt and v-neck sweater! So adorable! Hated the side burns though, but still over all very pretty. I liked the picture of him with the megaphone.

I did think he looked, well, old in a lot of the close ups, but it looked to me like his make up was getting stuck in his (slight) wrinkles, which made him look sort of off. Did enjoy the last little bit where he revealed himself to the main girl and put his hands in his pockets before fading away.

Also, Jamie in pyjamas! FTW!



BSG - A Day in the Life

Can I giggle that wisteria_ has written a fic with this title? Because I shall.

*Sighs* I really liked this episode but for two minor (ok, sort of major) points

Point A: While I kind of understand that there was no other way, the plan to get Cally and Tyrol out of the airlock was the stupidest plan in the history of stupid plans.
Subpoint A- Farscape has already proved you can be outside a spaceship with no suit and be okay-ish.

Point B: I feel that a show which has already based the tratorious/insane nature of one character on seeing the person they love in their head should perhaps be careful with throwing that plot device around.
Subpoint B - If CarolAnne was a Cylon, that makes Lee a little hybrid! Wheeeeeeeeee!
Subpoint C - When Lee's all "I just don't think mom ever loved you," I just - Oy. Boy has issues. Gee, maybe we could slap on the parallels with Kara and his mom a little more. Clearly the Adama boys were screwed up.
Subpoint D- Has everyone forgotten Zac's name? Is that why we're calling his "your brother" instead now? Or is there a concern newish viewers won't know who Zac is because they neglected to mention him for two seasons. I'm not sure.

Otherwise, a good ep. I seem to be alone in not minding Cally and Tyrol. Baby Nick is the FATTEST BABY EVER. His thighs are the size of my arm, yo. Still cute, just chubby.

Hey, Tyrol? Apollo and Dee as parents? Worst idea ever? I think maybe. And when did they all start hanging out so much?

Also, Kara and Lee at the podium? Haaaaaa-aawt. I don't really understand where either of their heads are at and how they can be all flirty and sexy and intense with each other after everything, but whatever. I like it. (Also, Kara sitting with her foot up on the chair stuck me as particularly, I don't know, indecent. In a good way, sort of.)

And Adama! And Roslin! And Adama/Roslin! I don't know how I feel about the admiral and the president (maybe) hooking up due to the, y'know, serious conflict of interest, but I love it when Mary smiles. She's so awesome. Also, I'll admit it, old(er) people sex skeeves me out a little.

And in a final thought, did Seelix seem a little, I don't know, handsy with the chief? She kept looking at him sort of intensely.





Looked terrible to me.

You're not alone on the Cally/Chief front. They're not my absolute favorites, but I don't mind them much. Probably just because I love Tyrol like crazy and anything that makes him semi-happy is a-ok with me.

I made the Farscape parallel too! If John Crichton can go on a minute-long spacewalk and live to talk about it, by golly, so can the Chief.

I'm also wondering if something's up with Seelix. While I think we've met our quota of infidelity plots for this season, at least she'd be better than Cally. ;)

I vaguely and randomly tuned into this episode after not bothering since the show returned from hiatus and I saw that scene and was like, "Wait, I thought they supposedly killed Lee/Kara forever. Everyone was all spazzing around! WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY SEXING AT EACH OTHER RANDOMLY AFTER A BRIEFING?!?! IT SEEMS LIKE ADAMA JUST INTERRUPTED THEM ABOUT TO MAKE OUT OR SOMETHING!!! WTF, FANDOM?!"

You know what made that scene so hot, the way Lee watched Kara as she walked away, before turning to his father. Just the look on his face. It makes no sense, continuity wise, but what on BSG does anymore?
