Another somewhat lapsed Catholic here.
I am giving up all caffinated beverages for lent. No coffee, caffinated tea, caffinated pop, you name it, I'm not having it. *sob*
I was dying around 2:30 this afternoon. I had a headache, I could hardly keep my eyes open in lecture, I was a little jittery, you name a withdrawl symptom, I had it. K's been lecturing me about my caffine intake so she was happy until I started calling her and complaining about how much I wanted a cup of coffee.
No cursing either. Nothing above crap. Crap.
I think I've somehow managed to end up frequenting lj at the exact opporsite time as most of my flist, therefore sorry for the delay in commenting. I'm away from a computer for most of the day.

I really, really missed coffee. It's such a part of my life. A lot of nights I'll head to my local coffee shop and sit and read or write for a couple of hours and have a couple cups of coffee. Tea or steamed milk just doesn't cut it.
I have to say, I got the worst caffine jitters from that first cup. Man. I never get coffee jitters, so it was strange and I briefly thought "Huh, maybe I should stay off caffine for good, now that I did it for a while." Then I realized that was crazy talk and had another cup. :)
