Haven't read any other posts yet, so let me just say
Oh, Lee. I was super concerned because for a while there, there were spoilers that Lee moved right on after Kara's death and Adama and Sam didn't. My heart just breaks. Breaks! I now await the complaints that it was too soapy.
Points:
1. Why is Romo wearing sunglasses in space? It's always dark up there. COME ON.
a. Is he totally playing Lee? Yes, yes I think he is. And aw, everyone, on ship and off seems to know and Kara, and Lee and Kara. Aw!
b. Just before posting, I scrolled the flist. I should know who this Sheppard fellow is?
carrielh has enlightened me! It's Badger from Firefly! I thought he was in the Matrix. I'm dumb.
2. They have mentioned Zak so frequently in the past few eps that I am more and more convinced he's going to play a role in the finale (cylon! cyyyyyyyyyyylonnnnnnnnnn!) And! They actually called him by name this week!
3. The birthday card from Kara? *dies*
b. So I knew Katee's name was coming off the credits, but man, I wasn't aware the space was just going to be left blank. Oy. It felt like a ton of bricks.
4. While it sucks the pilots are dropping like flies, it's always nice to get more Racetrack. I love her hair.
b. Helo. As CAG? Really? Wasn't he flying a desk a few weeks ago?
c. Oh god, when Lee called Racetrack(?) 'Starbuck'? Broke my heart and made me cover my face.
5. Where was Baltar hiding that pen? Ew.
a. What was up with that note from Romo? Lee! I worry for you!
6. Jamie was fan-freakin'-tastic, I thought.
b. Also, it occurred to me that he spent time with characters he's barely ever interacted with: Baltar, Six, Roslin, Tori, Sam, Kelly. Yay! I look forward to more of that sort of thing.
c. Hey, Lee, where'd you get that promo shot of Kara? Off the sci fi website?
7. I feel as though bsg has never been particularily slashy, unless you want to go down the Adama/Tigh road, which I do not. I think the slashy quotient went waaaaaaaaay up this evening.
I really, really liked this ep. A lot. Bravo. And I am really excited for the rest of the season. Bring on Baltar's trial (and the man!pain! More man!pain all around!)
Definitely deserves a re-watch tomorrow.

I thought pretty much the same thing for a while (following the "is he blind?" thought), until I realized that he was totally wearing them to keep people off balance and to hide just how much he was seeing (and thinking). That man is an OBSERVER, able to manipulate pretty much everyone he comes into contact with. I think I need a Lampkin icon...
