I caught the Stargate finale at twenty nine minutes in. I started sobbing shortly thereafter.


I haven't really watched since RDA left, but still. My Sam! My Teal'c! To a lesser extent, my Daniel! And those other characters! (Actually, the one episode I caught of this season was the one where Cam takes Vala as his 'date' to his high school reunion, and I laughed and laughed. And laughed, because didn't someone write that Sam/Jack fanfic?)

I thought it was a nice way to end things, although could they not get RDA back at all? Sweet Jebus. Also, could someone kindly point me in the direction of the fic that someone has to have written in which Teal'c and Sam have a heart to heart about her secret relationship with Jack, except it's not so secret and Teal'c knew all along? Maybe after he volunteers to be the one who doesn't de-age? Something about Jack giving him his life back, and Teal'c returning the favor? IT MUST BE OUT THERE. I might have to write it, omg.

All the while Daniel was telling Vala why they shouldn't be together, I was saying, out loud, to my TV, "Daniel, you're a dick." It seems fitting that's how that ended.

I also like to think that Cam did a little sweet romancing or courting of Sam, but once she gently rebuffed him, he clued in. But sometimes they had sex because, really, people have needs.

Someone linked to pictures of the cast after the last shot of them going through the gate. Everyone was crying, and I just - yeah. It was a crazy ride.

I wish, man, I wish I could remember what Sam's chosen cliché was, because it was so appropriate, but alas, I cannot.

Also, that old person makeup did no one any favours.



I think I'm going to have to buy or rent the last two seasons. I quite like Cam and Vala.

When I first read this comment in my email at work today, I thought *your* response was I might have to write it and I was so excited. Darn it.

There are going to be at least two tv movies to wrap up the storylines. And at least the first one will include RDA, so that's something to look forward to.
