I've been in Calgary all week for work. Thank god for premiere week because it gave me something to keep me occupied.

Short thoughts:

How I Met Your Mother
I am totally, totally invested in watching this this season. TRAMP STAMP. Yes.

Reaper

Gee, do you think this was shot in Vancouver? Also, the best friend is the guy who was Ryan Gosling's best friend on Breaker High. BREAKER FREAKIN' HIGH.

Chuck

I am not as enamoured with this as most of my flist. I actually actively disliked the girl, however Adam Baldwin! I would watch Reaper over this, unless the plot gets more complicated and a little darker. Also, I would like the girl to end up with Adam Baldwin. Yes.

Bionic Woman

So delightfully terrible. I need to be reminded I'm not watching a Sci Fi original. Battlestar is, so far, a much better show. BUT. KATEE. I just - I think I will watch almost anything she is in. I adore her. She is by far the best thing about the show (of course I think that). The Slate tv critic described the scene in the bar as Jamie and Sarah "warmly flirting." Yes. Exactly. And I know they're not likely to go the femslash route (this is, le sigh, a network show) but for what other reason would they make Jamie's boyfriend such a drip?

(Also? He is 39 and she is 24. That really, really bothers me. A lot. For no good reason. Let's see some girl kissing!)

In good news, Katee's lines during the fight scene weren't so clunky, and Michelle Ryan is pretty and can do better, I believe. I will stick around.

I did do a little handclap of glee when I saw David Eick's production company card at the end. I really like him, thanks to the video blogs and the commentaries with Ron, where he makes Ron less of an ass.

The OFFICE INDEED.

IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

PAM AND JIM, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. PAM AND FUCKING JIM HALPERT.

SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I also adore Kevin. "Are you kidding me?" HEEEEEEEEEEEE.

And the "We're dating. It's going really well. I think it's going really well. It's going really well, right?" bit. (I also have this theory about how Pam feels quite close to the interviewer and this sort of confirmed it for me. EXCELLENT.)

And the handholding! And the EVERYTHING, the looks and the smiles and the HAPPY. How EXCELLENT is it to see a tv couple HAPPY? They just GLOW. EEEEEEEEEEEE.

(God, how he grabbed her hand! I just melted. MELTED. GAH. HOW CAN THAT BE SO HOT AND SO SWEET, ALL AT THE SAME TIME?!)

SO MUCH JOY.

I JUST - WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

MY GOD.

There were so many points when Pam looked at Jim and all I could think was "she is so. totally. thinking about jumping him right now."

I also kept thinking about, er, how much fun they likely have whilst in bed with each other, what with all the laughing and smiling and nearly touching but not quite because sweetheart, we are at the office and we have to wait until we get home to do it because of the cameras. SO MUCH CHEMISTRY.

(Sorry, I'm watching it again and I just LOVE KEVIN. Also, Toby.)

Also, how great I mean hot did Pam look? With the makeup and the hair and the cute clothes? Nice.

AND. Dwangela! Sprinkles! Sob!

BUT. JIM AND PAM. PB AND J. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. They do things like make estate sales fun for each other. THIS IS A SIGN OF TRUE LOVE.

Also, how nice was it just to see them sitting next to each other again? PRETTY FREAKIN' GREAT.

I need to pack. Someone get me the heck out of Cow town. That being said, I am adding to my hotel soap collection.

I had PB&J for lunch today and it turned out to be quite an appopriate pre-cursor for tonight! Eeeeeeeeee! Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of the rest of the episode (it wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be, or maybe the hour length just made it drag?) but all the Jim/Pam stuff made me so giddy!

There was more to the episode?

(I kid, I kid!)

(Well, kind of.)

(But I do agree. Could have been funnier, yes.)

I wish we'd get femslash on BW. But given Jaime's cookie-cutter Cliche Woman of 1957 schtick, I doubt it. Not to mention, her boyfriend is so forgettable it's not funny.

The whole boyfriend thing is what makes me sort of curious/hopeful. I mean, he's not a very interesting character in general, and he appears especially uninteresting when contrasted with Sarah. And no one will convince me Sarah wasn't flirting in the bar.

(I am suspicious that perhaps Sarah had something going on with Jamie's boyfriend as well, and that's why she crashed the truck into his car, but that's me being crazy.)

Even if there is no femslash on the show, I am positive fandom will make due. I just - it's not even subtext on the show. It's text. They should just go for it.

Also, I cannot remember the boyfriend's name. Huh.

Oh, man, Sarah totally crashed the car to get a new girlfriend, dude. That's what I took away from both viewings. She could have hit the driver's side, but she went for the passenger, and left him relatively intact.

Also, as a sidenote, Cliche Russian Black Ops Dude used to have a thing with Sarah before she went insane. I think. Or maybe she just looks like his dead girlfriend?

I am so glad I get to squee about Jim and Pam again! I didn't do so much of that last season, but it's all back now! EEEEEEEE!

(And on a downer note for BW, the boyfriend was such a patronizing ass that I was pretty happy when he got shot.)

PAMANDJIMYAY!

BW was quite bad, wasn't it? I wonder why David Eick didn't write the pilot himself. Home, Part I remains one of the best episodes of BSG ever (and I'm sad he'll never write pilots again because he did it so well and he cared about them), and it involved a lot of plot threads coming together. The man who wrote that, would have done a much better job with this pilot; it tried to do too much, and as a result, didn't really make you feel for the lead, or anyone else for that matter. Katee was the one bright spot, despite silly dialogue and bad lipstick.

I found the Office boring. Jim/Pam being adorable and Dwight killing Angela's cat, were the highlights.

1. HIMYM: 52 days left!

2. Chuck: Doesn't require or deserve much deep thinking. It's just fun, which is perfectly fine by me. Captain Awesome! And I kinda liked the girl, though I can see the potential for grate.

3. Bionic: The official site's bios have him at 31, so I've no idea why they said "39 year old male". Ugh. But I'm still all over the Sarah/Jaime, and I'm hoping it does well for Katee's sake. Then again, I also need to stop looking at the TWOP boards, where they already have a raging hate for it. Why am I not surprised?

4. The Office: This episode actually made me like Pam/Jim (or just like Jim) again, so that's a good thing.

What a great episode of The Office. Rabies, Jim and Pam, Dwight killing a cat. Not only was this a memorable first episode but I just purchased some real cool shirts related to The Office. So check it out. These are great finds. I just better not see you in FL wearing these shirts :-)
