Strange day. Stood in front of a barbeque for four hours and could not get rid of the smell of meat from my nostrils. Washed my hair twice, used smelly soap, wore perfume, even washed my glasses for God's sake and still I smell like meat. Urk and yuck.

On a slightly more fannish and rather pathetic note, realized my attire for today is a little, hmm, strange? stalker-esque? about ten minutes ago. New (olive) cargo pants from Old Navy (my crack, I tell ya) and a long sleeve black shirt. Flip flops, not combat boots, so we're safe on that front. At least it wasn't on purpose, I guess. *scurries to change so as to avoid looking like a complete fangirl*

Hey, I grin often as I don my current nightly togs. BDUs and black t-shirt (with sweatshirt or jacket, depending on the temp). I come by it honestly, as it was the garb of choice for my Search and Rescue team, and there's not much better for scrabbling around on/under raised computer flooring and holding everything needed to get the job done. But I get a fangirl rush outta dressing like my favorite characters. (hehehe)

Ack! Where do you sleep? In the, y'know, outdoors?

I would just like to add that these are, according to the tag, "flight cargos" and thus in my mind somehow sanctioned by the airforce. *nods*

Where do you sleep?

Wait. I think I've confused you. (I do that often to people. -g-)

Back when my search team was active, we wore BDUs and t-shirts plus whatever else the weather dictated. We slept in tents, vehicles, jails, hotels ... whatever was available/provided. Once (sadly before I joined the team), some folks were left "stranded" in a huge wilderness area in the winter. The authorities wouldn't send out a chopper to pick them up (that's how'd they'd deployed them), but did send the chopper to drop paper tents (yes, "paper" ... nicknamed "Cotex tents" by those who were there ... small, white, tubular). Like I say, whatever's available. (hehehe)

Fast forward. Right now, I'm on night shift at work, pulling computer cables. (Don't ask.) Because I scuttle around on and under some pretty nasty, dirty floors, I decided combat clothing would be my best choice. I don't sleep 'til I get home and get out of the dirty stuff. -g-

I agree about your flight cargos. :^D
