Was at KFC today (and yes, I am feeling barf-tastic, thankyouverymuch, with the headless chickens and what not) and they've got this nice glossy poster up on the wall talking about how the Colonel (Sanders, that is. heh. There's a funny image) used to carry the recipe around in his head and the secret spice mix around in his car.
In his *car*? Aside from the creepiness surrounding KFC already, does it alarm no one that the founder and now corporate symbol used to carry the secret spice mix around in his car? And the company is advertising this? ("Well, see our founder used to live in a car, down by the river, where he'd mix up eleven herbs and spices and then coat the chicken with it . . .")
I swear to God I live in bizarro world.
Uh, will update with, you know, interesting, important stuff soonish and reply to comments. Ahem

Actually...
This sucked, so the Colonel had to close this gas station. Still, he had An Idea. This idea? Was to wander around selling his fried chicken recipe (because all those salesmen were sad to see that dissappear.) So what he did was travel around liscencing his chicken recipe to certain restaurants, creating what is basically the entire franchise system.
And yep, he was the only one who knew the 'secret recipe' and the reason he kept it in his car? Because every morning he'd drive around and deliver this secret recipe to the restaurants.
And yeah, I know way too much about this.

You do know a lot about this. I've taken notes. :)
