First and foremost, thanks to everyone for the birthday goodness. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy, so thank you. Got clothes and money from the family and a copy of Whylah Falls and a new starbucks travel mug from the best friend. Yay. A good day, even though mom and dad forget to get me a cake. Ha. It was funny, really. The swift "I thought you were taking care of that" and "Wait. I thought you were *making* one" to "When was the last time I baked a cake?" to "Right. Shit. Be right back, e., just gotta run to the grocery store." Amusing, my family. :)

Was going to do the 23rd entry meme except my 23rd entry doesn't have five lines and I was very, very drunk when I posted it. Heh.

Home is fine. Am beginning the job search since the company who I had lined a job up with is in the middle of a massive strike. This is also the company for whom my mother works for and she's on the picket line as I type this. My aunt and uncle also work there but are managment and so they're the ones still working. Oh, my family.

Wrote a little last night. More importantly, pulled out three stories I've been working on off and on for the last six months or so and realised one isn't half as bad as I think it is. Yay.

I am going to be so boring for the next little while. Yikes.

I read this and felt a sudden rush of warm fuzzy nostalgia for Canada. Hee.

And dude, I'm so pretending boring is the new black. It is, right?

ahhh, striking. Yeah, it's all about the warm fuzzies. Not. Hee. Yes, oh unionized Canada. Everyone's on strike - the Newfoundland public workers, the BC nurses, the atlantic canadian telecommunications workers. It's a big ole strike party.

And yes. Boring is the new black. We are far too cool for school, my friend. :)
