"Daniel, where are we going again?" Jack braked as the stop light shifted to red.
Daniel had pulled off his glasses, and was frowning at somethign on one lens. "To the coffee place on Harstel."
"Next to the IMAX place?"
"Yeah." Daniel rubbed the lens witha corner of his jacket.
"Okay. Next question. Why? Do I need to point out that you have the equivalent of Starbucks hoarded in your office?"
"Yes, but my office doesn't have those great little pastry things, and I though Elly might like one. And you did say you'd do whatever you could to help her finish this paper. Do you have any tissues?"
Jack reached over and opened the glove box, spilling out a pile of crumpled fast food napkins. "And you weren't whining to Carter earlier that the all the danishes in the mess were stale?"
"It was a simple observation."
"Uh huh."
Rummaging through the napkins, Daniel picked one and read the print before cleaning his glasses with it. "And while we're out, can we go to Arbys?"
