Okay. I've got some BSG questions.

1. Post-destruction of the worlds, the "fleet" comes to consists of all the ships traveling with the Galactica, period. Civilian, military, whatever, it doesn't matter. Am I right on that?

2. Kara, Lee, Tyrol, Helo etcetera are members of the Colonial . . . eh, forces? fleet? military? What I'm trying to figure out is how they would refer to their branch of service. For example, on SG-1, Sam and Jack would say they belong to the Air Force. Is there a comparable term in the BSG 'verse?

And hey! Americans! What do you call it, a sofa? a couch? a chesterfield? (no, wait, that one's only my nana.)

Ah. Huh. Curious. So not a big deal, I take it.

1. er. Yah?

2. Seems to be the Fleet, and based on the Navy. I think.

Couch. Sofa. Either.

Couch or sofa, I think. My great-great aunt used to call it a davenport!

Couch or sofa, both are common. I think I say couch more often now, but used sofa more often when I was growing up (in the northern midwest). Certain regions favor one over the other, but I don't think either would sound odd anywhere in the U.S.
