It's the posting of this kind of thing that gets...squicky, not the mere fact of thinking about it. Everyone has had something of the kind run through their head at some point, they just don't necessarily write it down or admit it, but a creative writer's brain can't focus heavily on the interworkings of any group of people and not occasionally wander off into "what-ifs". I'm an angst whore, so I will be the first to admit my mind plays around with all kinds of Amanda-trauma scenarios and what the guys on the set would do to help. Haven't written any and don't wish to, it's just the happy little world I occasionally live in while, say, chopping onions, but...

Though back in high school/college (before I or any of my friends knew about The Internet:)), I was writing scenes of Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier in my Trig notebook, never once thinking about community rules or anyone ever even READING it...

Brains fantasize. It's encouraging these things in public forums that starts to get weird.

Best solution I know, is to take the inspiration, change the names and things a bit, and write an original fic, feeding off whatever inspires you. Because truly, since you know less about who these people really are than you even do about the characters they play, you ARE writing original characters. You're writing who your mind sees them as.
