I think I may have been the last person in the world to have seen LOtR:ROtK. One of the people sitting behind me in the theatre was reciting the lines along with the characters at times.

Lemme just say for now: Peter Jackson, stop trying to fool us with the heterosexualty!yay! ending. Seriously. Stop it. Either that was the greatest film ever made devoted to the glories of male friendship or was *the* slashy-ist thing ever.

Slashy-ist thing ever. I giggled immaturely many, many times.

Good God, yes. Fandom has ruined these movies for me. I saw it by myself purely so I wouldn't have to explain my hysterical giggling. "Mr. Frodo" this and "Take me now Aragorn" that and "elf-dwarf love 4eva!!!1!!"

I don't think I was supposed to be giggling like a madwoman as Gandalf and Frodo marched off into the sunset together. Nor as Pippin and Merry were being seperated and being all angsty and "I will find you!!" Oh, the slash! It's everywhere!

Yes, this is it *exactly*. It doesn't stop with LOTR, either. The other day I was watching ER and trying to convince my friends that Carter and Luka were sekrit gay lurvers ;)

Major. Davis.

Dood. I cannot see that man's face and not think in my head "OHMIGOD!DANIEL'SSECRETLOVER!!!!!1!!"

I *know* I didn't have these thoughts before fandom.

Ooo! Mulder and Krychek! That's another one! Krychek is just one big ball of gay love! Who knew?!?

Bwah! Yes, Major Davis. I think Anais ruined me for every Major Davis scene :D

To.tally. Ruined! Poor Major Davis, doing all those wonderful terrible things in my mind while on screen he's all pentagon-y and professional.

Ooo, I haven't seen it!

But then I haven't seen any of them...

The *slash*!

It's not even subtext. It's, like. . . super text! You have to be *not* paying attention to miss it. Hell, even my dad (a straight arrow, I tell ya) was all "Those hobbits, hmm, I don't know . . .

Haven't seen? Worth it for the pretty boys at the very least (not a Tolkien fan, myself)

I need a slashy icon.

My mother, in a fine moment of PC-ness, said - "Oh, good, Sam's getting married. I was worried, you know..."

*facepalms*

Hehehe. Okay, that may be the only reason why I want to watch them.

Haven't seen it yet either and I have both prior movies on DVD! Part of me wants to wait until I can use a pause button for bathroom breaks.
